Adipotide Concentration Calculator

Read this first. The adipotide compound page states that adipotide “is not approved for human consumption, carries documented human-trial renal toxicity signals”, and that clinical development for obesity “was halted due to the renal safety signal in the Phase 1 trial.” It is a peptidomimetic, not approved for any medical indication anywhere in the world as of August 2026, and Peptigrity states no adipotide dose. This page converts the mass in a vial into concentration arithmetic and nothing more; it cannot make the compound safer. The compound is covered in the adipotide guide.

A 10 mg vial of Adipotide reconstituted with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water gives a concentration of 5.0 mg/mL, or 50 mcg per unit on a U-100 syringe.

Defaults: 10 mg is the labelled vial on all 4 adipotide tests on file, 21 Sep 2026; 2 mL was chosen for simple arithmetic and is not a sourced volume. Peptigrity publishes no Adipotide dose, so the dose field starts empty.

Adipotide lab record

Adipotide has 4 independent lab tests on file at Peptigrity. Purity is not net content: a clean certificate confirms what is in a vial, not how much. See the Adipotide lab-test records.

The renal-toxicity signal comes first

The adipotide compound page (Last Updated: August 2026) states its principal safety concern in these words:

“Adipotide's principal safety concern is renal. In obese monkeys it caused predictable, dose-dependent and reversible changes in renal proximal tubule function, consistent with its pro-apoptotic (KLAKLAK)2 moiety accumulating in kidney tissue.”

On regulation it adds: “Clinical development for obesity was halted due to the renal safety signal in the Phase 1 trial.” And to buyers: “Buyers should be aware that Adipotide's development was discontinued specifically due to toxicity concerns — not due to lack of efficacy.”

The same page's evidence line reads “renal safety signal documented in primate studies; no published human safety data”, and it records that the single Phase 1 trial, a dose-escalation study in obese men with castrate-resistant prostate cancer at MD Anderson Cancer Center (dosing began 2012), published no efficacy or safety results. Both statements are the compound page's own; this page reproduces them rather than choosing between them.

What that means here: neither a certificate nor a calculator touches the risk. The compound page says purity verification “confirms what's in the vial — it does not address Adipotide's underlying toxicity risk profile.” The arithmetic below converts a labelled mass into a concentration, accurately, and that is all it does.

Adipotide is not a peptide by its own page's classification: the page calls it a peptidomimetic, although it is built from two peptide segments. That is why this page is framed as a concentration calculator rather than a peptide dosage tool. It is still sold by mass in labelled vials (every adipotide test on file on 21 Sep 2026 is labelled 10 mg), so milligrams-per-millilitre arithmetic is accurate as arithmetic.

Adipotide quantity-to-units conversion

The table converts reference quantities to syringe units at the default of 5.0 mg/mL (10 mg of Adipotide in 2 mL), and counts how many draws of each a vial holds. Every row is arithmetic, not a dose: read the units for the amount you already intend to measure.

QuantityDraw at 5.0 mg/mLVolumeDraws from a 10 mg vial
100 mcg2.0 units0.02 mL100
250 mcg5.0 units0.05 mL40
500 mcg10.0 units0.10 mL20
1 mg20.0 units0.20 mL10
2 mg40.0 units0.40 mL5

Units at three concentrations

The same Adipotide quantity lands on a different mark depending on how much water went into the vial. Read down the column for the concentration you actually mixed; a units figure carried across from another column is simply wrong.

QuantityAt 10 mg/mL (10 mg + 1 mL)At 5.0 mg/mL (10 mg + 2 mL)At 2.0 mg/mL (10 mg + 5 mL)

500 mcg5.0 units10.0 units25.0 units
1 mg10.0 units20.0 units50.0 units
2 mg20.0 units40.0 units100.0 units

Every cell is the same arithmetic: units = (quantity in mg ÷ concentration in mg/mL) × 100 on a U-100 syringe. More water spreads the same mass over more units, which is the fix when a small quantity would otherwise sit at two or three units, where a one-unit misread is a large error.

How many draws an adipotide vial holds

Each Adipotide vial holds as many draws as its labelled mass divided by the quantity per draw; the water volume changes nothing about it. The grid counts draws, not weeks — this page states no frequency.

Vial sizeAt 100 mcgAt 250 mcgAt 500 mcgAt 1 mgAt 2 mg
10 mg1004020105

The labelled mass is not a guarantee of the mass in your vial: net content is a separate measurement from purity, and certificates on file often measure a few percent above or below the label.

How to reconstitute adipotide

No label sets a diluent volume for research-grade adipotide, and the compound page states none (it states no route either), so the volume is a choice; the 2 mL default is a round number for arithmetic: 10 mg in 2 mL is 5 mg/mL, or 50 mcg per unit. The site's handling guides, reconstituting peptides step by step and the bacteriostatic water guide, are general peptide guidance, not an adipotide-specific finding, and nothing in them bears on the renal signal.

Regulatory status

Adipotide is not approved for any medical indication anywhere in the world as of August 2026. Clinical development for obesity was halted due to the renal safety signal in the Phase 1 trial, and the compound remains available as research-use-only material from third-party laboratories. The compound page is explicit that development was discontinued for toxicity, not for lack of efficacy. Country-by-country context: are peptides legal.

Frequently asked questions

Why was adipotide's development halted?

The compound page gives the reason as renal toxicity: clinical development for obesity was halted due to the renal safety signal in the Phase 1 trial. In obese-monkey studies adipotide caused reversible changes in kidney (renal proximal tubule) function, and its pro-apoptotic peptide accumulates in kidney tissue. The page stresses that development was discontinued for toxicity, not for lack of efficacy.

What is the standard adipotide dose?

There isn't one. The compound page answers the dose question directly: 'No. Adipotide is not approved for human consumption, carries documented human-trial renal toxicity signals, and Peptigrity is an independent review platform, not a medical authority.' Its single Phase 1 trial published no results. This page performs concentration arithmetic on a vial; it supplies no quantity.

Is adipotide a peptide?

The compound page classes it as a peptidomimetic: a peptide that binds PROHIBITIN on the vasculature of white adipose tissue, linked to a pro-apoptotic peptide, (KLAKLAK)2. That is why this page is not framed as a peptide dosage calculator.

How does the concentration arithmetic work for a 10 mg adipotide vial?

10 mg in 2 mL of water is 5 mg/mL, so each unit on a U-100 syringe carries 50 mcg and 1 mL carries 5 mg. With 5 mL the same vial is 2 mg/mL, or 20 mcg per unit. The arithmetic is exact for the labelled mass and says nothing about safety.

Does a clean certificate make adipotide safer?

No. The compound page says purity verification confirms what is in the vial and does not address adipotide's underlying toxicity risk profile. A certificate can confirm identity and quantity; it says nothing about the renal signal.
