Community Testing Fund
A pool of member money that pays for lab tests on shops chosen at random. Blind retail orders, independent labs, every result published, and no vendor money at any point.

We're building a community-funded pool to lab-test randomly chosen shops, with blind buys, published results, and no vendor money. Peptigrity is new, and a fund only works once enough people are here to fill it. We'll open it when the community is big enough. No money is collected until then.
How it will work
- Members fill the pool
Contributions come from members only. Shops, their staff and anyone paid by them are excluded.
- A random draw picks the target
Shop and compound are drawn at random from shops listed on Peptigrity. Every draw is published, along with how it was made.
- A blind retail order
An ordinary order, placed anonymously so the shop can't tell it's a test.
Who orders: decided before launch - Straight to an approved lab
The sealed vial goes to a lab whose reports we can confirm at the source. Panel: HPLC purity and identity.
- Published, pass or fail
The result goes into the lab-test library with its full cost line. The shop gets a right of reply.
Every test starts with an ordinary retail order, placed anonymously so the shop can't tell it's a test. We haven't decided yet whether that order will be placed by a paid community member or by Peptigrity directly. We'll publish the method here before the fund opens, and it will be the same for every test.
Why it stays honest
Contributors can't choose the shop or compound. A published random draw means no one can aim the money at a competitor.
Undisclosed ties to a shop mean a permanent ban and removal of anything that person touched.
A failed test is published exactly like a passed one.
Every report is checked directly with the lab that issued it.
Each test lists what it cost: product, shipping and lab fee.

Why isn't it open yet?
Peptigrity is new. A fund only works once enough people are here to fill it, and we won't take money for tests we can't run yet.
Can I contribute now?
No. Nothing is collected until the fund opens. Follow the thread in Discussions to hear when it does.
Why random instead of letting contributors choose?
If contributors chose, anyone, including a shop, could point the money at a competitor. A published draw means no one can steer it.
Will Peptigrity handle the product?
Not decided yet. Either way, the sealed vial goes straight to an approved lab, and the full chain (order proof, package photos, batch numbers, lab confirmation) is posted publicly.
What happens if a result is bad?
It's published exactly like a good one, and the shop gets a right of reply. A library that only shows passes would be worthless.
Can shops or their staff contribute?
No. Undisclosed ties, found at any point, mean a permanent ban and removal.
What happened to the Testing Grant?
The one-slot pilot grant has closed. This fund replaces it.
Which labs count?
Only labs whose reports we can confirm at the source. The current list is on Testing Labs.
