Amycretin — which has since been assigned the international nonproprietary name zenagamtide — is Novo Nordisk's investigational, first-in-class unimolecular GLP-1 and amylin receptor agonist: a single molecule that activates both receptors, folding the amylin satiety pathway and the GLP-1 pathway into one agent (rather than combining two drugs as in CagriSema). Novo moved both the oral (once-daily) and subcutaneous (once-weekly) formulations into Phase 3 during Q1 2026, on the strength of early data showing roughly 22% weight loss over 36 weeks subcutaneously and about 13% over 12 weeks orally.
