What do you guys look for when checking a peptide vendor?

I’ve been looking into different vendors and realized that reviews alone don't really tell the whole story. Independent testing, batch-specific results, purity, and consistency seem much more useful.

Ion Peptides one of the vendors I’ve been looking at recently. Has anyone here compared their testing/results with other vendors?

Would be interested to hear what people actually found rather than just “good” or “bad” reviews.

the same things you listed, in that order. independent tests from a lab with a public lookup, batch-matched to the lot on the vial, with a measured amount not just a purity %. then consistency - one 99% test means nothing, fourteen tests over a year means a lot. reviews, where do they ship from etc.

Got it, thanks! I was checking out the platform and noticed Ion Peptide isn't listed here. Is it still safe to buy from them if they're not on the site?

Not being listed here is not proof either way. It just means this platform has not built a record on them yet.

I would treat the shop name as the start of the check, not the answer. Ask for the COA tied to the exact lot being sold, make sure the report names a real third-party lab, and verify the report number with the lab itself. Then look for history. One clean test is a snapshot. Repeated batch-specific results over time tell you much more.

Also check whether the lot on the paperwork is the lot actually being shipped. That is where a good report can stop being useful.

I rep Vyal Labs, so factor that in. For our side, the material is manufactured in the US, the per-lot COAs are public before purchase, and Accurate Test Lab confirms report numbers by email. Same rule for us as anyone else: verify the lot, not the logo.

COA + report-number checks first, and I call the lab if anything looks off — prices and presentation can both be faked, a report number usually can't. Then a quick price sanity check across a couple of comparison sites so you know when a deal is too good. For the review side I keep coming back to pepsreview.com — guides + vendor writeups in one place. What else is everyone using?
