Repeating Identical “Reviews/Comments”

Aarvet05🌱 Newcomer·0 reviews·0 lab tests·8 days ago

OK I couldn’t help but notice that it felt like I was was reading the exact same comments over and over and over so I went back and took a closer look and yep..I have multiple examples I can post right now (screenshots) of people utilizing the exact same comments ,word for word, but under different ScreenNames. I cannot help but feel this is a little disconcerting considering the nature of this website and what its purpose is supposed to be. since I am unable to post the screenshots I’ll just give the names and where to find them…

“ For what its worth, have been using them for almost a year now. Probably placed 8 or 9 orders at this point. Never had a problem. Product is always consistent, shipping is always fast. Earned a customer for life. Glad I found them.”

“Friend recommended these guys after I was complaining about my last source being garbage.

Placed an order on Monday, had it by Thursday.

Everything looked good, vials intact, properly labeled. Already planning my next order.”

Exact same…they seem to be recycling each others comments and just swapping names. I was going to give you the name of the shops and where to find them but every time I try to do that with a second page it messes up this post. You have enough to look for yourself. Youll find them within the first 5-6 at the “top of the list”.

My question is this…who is responsible for all of these comments on a website that is to be dedicated towards safety legitimacy and transparency?

Good catch, and honestly a fair question ... let me just be straight with you about what you're looking at.

So when the site first started, we ran it as more of an aggregator. We pulled in existing reviews from Trustpilot and Google onto the shop pages. Those are real reviews from real people but when you're mirroring from a couple different sources you end up with the same text popping up under different usernames, which is exactly what you caught. It looks bad, no argument here, and you were right to call it out.

We ended up moving away from that whole model on purpose. The thinking was: RUO shops are gonna get restricted or booted off Trustpilot and Google sooner or later, so building on top of those was kind of a dead end. So we switched over to our own review system and we've been pulling out the old mirrored ones since. Clearly missed some - these included - and yeah, that's on us to finish.

I'll be honest, we're still figuring out the right path on the reviews side specifically. The mission itself isn't going anywhere.. independent, nobody can pay for placement, lab data that shops can't touch BUT the reviews part is the piece we're still working out. Where we're headed is only counting reviews from established accounts that have an actual track record here, exactly so this kind of thing doesn't happen. Still a work in progress though, and honestly people poking holes in it like you just did is part of how it gets better.

Anyway.. long way of saying the reviews you found aren't fake, but they shouldn't still be sitting there looking like that either, and the rest of the mirrored ones are coming down. Appreciate you actually digging in instead of just assuming the worst.
